The Bradley Police Department consists of thirty-four sworn officers and twelve civilian support personnel. The Department is divided into the Operations Division, which is responsible for the patrol function and the Support Services Division, which includes units such as Investigations, Communications, Records and all of the various school programs we are conducting throughout the year. The Bradley Police Department is committed to providing the finest in public safety services to the residents of the Village. The Department has also received National Recognition through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). Not only are the officers constantly on the
lookout for bad guys, but they provide other community oriented
programs as well. Among these many programs offered through the
Department, the concentration is on the young and senior adults.
For the young people of the community we offer Safety Pup,
Driver's Education Programs, G.R.E.A.T., and a School Resource
Officer at the High School. The Bradley Police Department was
the first agency in Kankakee County to conduct a week long
G.R.E.A.T. Summer Camp which has grown to a huge success.
The senior adult is also important to the Department. The Senior Adult Academy was first conducted in early 1999 and a core of alumni are continually involved in many projects in the county. One of objectives is to increase the services offered to our senior population. A new Senior Academy will be in the works soon. The motto of the Bradley Police Department is “Serving Our Community”. Even though we have been doing just that since 1892, we are always looking for new ways to serve you better. If you have any suggestions or ideas on how the Department may provide better customer service, please do not hesitate to contact the Chief’s Office by E-Mail dwkufner@bradleyil.org or by phone at 815-932-4040. Stay safe!
