                Donald W. Kufner has been Chief of Police since July 7, 1997.  Prior to that, he served in various capacities with the Lincolnwood Police Department for twenty-four years. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Northeastern University and a Master of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Illinois.  He is also an assessor for C.A.L.E.A. and an adjunct professor at Kankakee Community College.
 
Chief Kufner continues to be an active member of numerous boards such as:
